What is square? Is it a very difficult concept? I don’t think so. Today, at school I had a clear understanding of squares, thanks to my teachers! First, let’s know what is square of a number. Square of a number is the product of the number itself.
Confused? Simple. What is 3×3? It’s 9.
It can also be written as 3^2 or square of 3. Now, let’s take the definition and understand it part by part. ‘Product‘ means the result we get after multiplying any numbers. ‘Number itself‘ means the same number twice. So, the complete definition goes like this: The multiplication of the same number twice.
Example: 5×5=5^2=25, 7×7=7^2=49. Here 5 and 7 are called bases. The number 2 represents the base is multiplied two times. We can write a square for any every number.
Square also has a different definition in geometry. According to geometry, Square is a 2-dimensional figure. It is a polygon with four sides.
Thanks for reading this, I will come back to you with another concept soon. Have a Wonderful Week ahead. 🙂
